I was SO hoping Josh Grelle was Nitori!

 Great choices. I thought there was a chance that Josh Grelle would be Ai so I'm glad. I also think Jerry Jewell is an excellent choice for Momo.

Oh my gosh it's Jerry Jewell!!! Yays! I'm just so stoked he's in it! I haven't heard him in forever, no wait he was in the Toriko dub and in the cast commentary. Still this is awesome! Another plus of awesomeness is Josh Grelle. He's so cute as Komatsu in Toriko. I know he'll be adorable as Nitori.
Now since I posted before about wanting Jerry Jewell as one of the guys if I post another name will I get that person too? Here goes: Justin Cook, Jarrod Green, Aaron Roberts, Alex Organ, Matthew Mercier, Ian Sinclair! I'd feel like I'm cheating if I post Travis Willingham since he's probably who they're going to chose as Sousuke to finish off that silly Ouran reunion thing. Not that I mind he has an amazing voice. As for the petition thing that's kind of ridiculous. Half of those people probably don't even watch Free! but hate Vic and the other half probably wouldn't buy it anyway. The people who don't like Vic and are swearing they won't buy it because of him aren't making sense. I don't like Vic but I'll still buy it. If you love the show buy it. Don't let the dislike of one voice actor ruin the release. I have waited for years for a sports anime (well half sports but still it has sports!) to get a big hype release. I was one of those nine people apparently that bought Big Windup! and was so heartbroken to find out sports anime just do not sell despite my love for them. Them casting Vic cannot rain on my parade. If I don't like how he handles Rin I can just switch over to the sub (which at this point I doubt because oh my god Jerry Jewell is in it!!!). And I did import the Japanese Blurays but it's not gonna stop me from buying Funi's release and two more copies. |

Come to think of it, I fully expected Nitori to be voiced by Greg Ayres. I Greg and Josh should do great with their characters as is though.

As hearing him as Armin, I'm not surprised Grelle made it as Nitori (I'm not a huge fan of Nitori but I'll be interesting in how he pulls it off). I lie Jerry Jewell but I don't think I've heard him do such an upbeat character before (I repeat, I have not heard. Feel free to give me an example though). He has a pretty deep voice so I hope it works out.

I love Jerry Jewell. I love Momotaro Mikoshiba. I would not have thought of Jerry's voice for Momotaro, but now I'm excited to hear it

Thrilled to see this! Love both of their performances in the past (Jerry; Fruits Basket's Kyo, Kaworu in the Rebuild of EVA movies. And Josh; Baka and Test's Akihisa, and Princess Jellyfish like they credited).
On the note of that petition: Are you effing kidding me? Get a life, don't take your hobbies so seriously, and take a page outta Elsa's book and Let. It. Go.

Stuff like this is why hardcore anime fans get such a bad reputation. Absolutely absurd. People are flat out abusing these online petitions for petty and ridiculous. It make the entire concept of petitions seem redundant and worthless. |

Nerd rage is often a contribution for petitions in the past year. First, it was to get "DMC: Devil May Cry" pulled from shelves because they don't like change. Next, it was to get Ben Affleck out of the role as Batman.

This petition is ridiculous and selfish. Vic isn't homophobic, but he will not sign yaoi merchandise/artwork because he doesn't like it. He has the right to decide what he will and won't sign and fans should be a bit more respectful of his decision to do so.
On a lighter note, I'm happy to see Jerry and Josh in the cast. Sad to hear we won't get Travis, but maybe Patrick Seitz as Sosuke? |
