Hachiman goes from beady eyed to sleepy eyed and you think it's something you get used to? For a key image, it's all manner of wrong. |

I don't know what they were thinking changing up everybody who worked on the original. It won't be the same Oregairu that I loved. At least they got the same seiyuus back, which means they will still retain the same feel for the characters.

Excited to finally see some progress with the new season. While I'd love for the same production team to continue into the second season, I'm willing to give the new guys a shot. The first season was far too short.

The person in charge of writing the article might want to add that Sentai released the first season in DVD on July of this year.
It should not be that big of an issue because they got back the person in charge of series composition. |

I compared the Hachiman key image to some google results.
The eyes are bigger (like twice the height), eyebrows are thicker and face is a little slimmer. Hair is a bit different but it's supposed to be disheveled anyway so it's whatever. The iris are pretty similar. Oh well, ideally it would be best to keep it consistent but ultimately if the series can be just as good or better, we'll get over it. |

I swear when I saw these sketches I thought it was done by some pixiv guy I saw on twitter... oh well.. can't say I hate how the look but I can't remember that well how they looked specifically so eh. Maybe this season will give me a better impression of this series.
