I'm sure the sales for OR/AS will blow X/Y's sales out of the water.

It's the craziest thing. Nintendo's games sell gangbusters worldwide, but "the company is in trouble". Laughing

Back when websites were saying that, I also read Nintendo said they had enough money to operate on a loss for 20 years before they'd be in trouble. But then they started turning a profit again. Seems like a bit of unfair yellow journalism that sites generally have for Nintendo.

Not sure about that. Sony can't be in the red 20 straight years, and they have a valuation of $25B, more than Nintendo's $16B valuation. Maybe Apple could do it, but that's still doubtful.

Actually, it's 38 years

Nintendo probably has less upkeep than Sony does, considering they're also an electronics company and probably have more resources to drain. From what's been reported, the PlayStation portion of Sony is doing fine but everything else is shaky. Being a smaller, more focused company might be beneficial in these kinds of things. Nintendo is strictly a video game company.

Interesting. Forgot about that factor. Was thinking more along the stock market, since continuous losses lead to declining stocks and shrinking valuations.
