Donated, but would have donated a lot more had an original Moyocco Anno sketch been featured as a possible reward. Reproduction sketches, especially those at a 1K tier, don't do it for me.

I had thought Studio Khara itself was involved in production of the short films; why aren't they funding this?

That's a good question. My theory is it's costing extra for the stop-motion. The director says Studio Khara is animating but the director is then taking the completed animation to another studio to turn it into stop-motion.
