So indeed it will be a show for Spring after all. Spring's looking fantastic now. The key visual looks good too and I really hope they capture the appeal of the manga with adaptation.

The artwork of the characters looks impressive.
Here's hoping the show covers most of the cooking tips. Anime smile

The Megumi Tadokoro in that big poster looks catastrophically bad - sub-VN-For-PC bad, what an eyesore. Baffling, considering the rest of her key art looks good (SD Megumi-chan FTW), and even Soma and Erina look fine in the same poster.

So which of the 2 main girls would technically be considered the lead female?

I'm still kind of thrown off that JC Staff is animating a Shonen Jump series.

The brunette is the heroine, the blonde the antagonist.

Why? They did Bakuman.

THat's true, but SnS is a very different style and typically I wouldn't say J.C.Staff are a great fan-service studio...certainly not the worst out there though.

If they cross this series over with Rail Wars!, we'd have a Delivery Wars (perhaps).

The cooking scenes being done the best is the most important thing. Fanservice is nowhere near the top priority.
Unlike the manga, the anime will probably need to do a lot of padding by actually showing cooking as it happens, which I'm soooo looking forward to!
What we saw in the teaser trailer already looked pretty good.

The designs look great! Lots of nice colors and the like. Now we just have to wait until the Spring. I imagine this series, if it's anything like the manga, will probably be pretty successful ad a fun series!

You know, in my experience, schools usually brag about high graduation rates.

Wow, they are quite literally popping up everywhere.

I really hope so. Mahouka was a huge disappointment because they couldn't find a way to explain all the scientific stuff due to most it being in Tatsuya's thinking in the light novel. It would be horrid if Shokugeki no Soma cut out all the food facts and tips. I think it would be awesome if they did a special or OVA specifically for food and cooking tips for the audience.

I think Megumi would be the heroine since she gets more on screen time and hangs around Souma. Like utsuro no hako said, Erina will probably be the main antagonist since she is always challenging and looking down on Souma.

Not this school.

The art looks well detailed. Not Jojo detailed but detailed. Wonder how it will animate.
