I like the art style most likely because it's close to my own, very toony anime look.

Was it down? I never noticed. It still seems to be a crunchyroll. Or was it taken down from there too, and put back up for the holidays?

As far as I know, it's never been taken down from CR.

Though LWA doesn't have much to do with the holidays, for more of a Christmas anime, there's the other Kickstarter OAV Santa Company that's just released.

I just wish they'd make this into a series already. It's just so entertaining. It's one of those movies that has lots of cliches, but uses them correctly.

I agree. Why can't they just make a series?

Who is going to pay for the series? What do those investors want back in return for their investment? Even if the series gets investors how much money will they get? How much time will they be allowed to produce the series? If the series does get produced and air will it make any money? I don't mean peanuts, but rather several million dollars and during the initial marketing push?

There probably isn't enough demand to do a series at this point. The Blu-ray for the first short doesn't seem to have earned its way into the hearts of thousands, so I don't see why there would be a full series.

They could make a series, it just won't look anywhere near as good as their government funded or Kickstarted OVAs, and it won't make money back on disc sales. That's why while I'm interested in Death Parade, it's definitely not for the anticipation of the visuals, just intrigue into that whole afterlife setup. I expect the animation to take a nose dive, and that's fine.

Did the Blu Ray of Death Billiards win its way to the hearts of thousands? Whose funding its Death Parade spin-off, and how are they funding it? Do they expect it to make millions?

Sometimes the world of anime is an enigma to me. I have no idea why some series get green lit and others don't. I'm sure there is a lot of insider baseball behind why a short like Death Billiards can get a series and a short with a successful Kickstarter that proves it has an international audience only gets a sequel short, and not a series or even a manga adaptation (everything and its spin-offs seem to get manga adaptations).

Wait... Death Billiards is getting a series? Freaking loved that short. And I do wish that they had like yearly sets of the anime mirai projects where you get the collection of the shorts for a reasonable price, kinda like Genius Party.

From my knowledge the video is on youtube but when I finally gotten around to watching it the video was marked as private. So I had to settle for watching it on crunchyroll instead.

But where exactly can you watch the whole OAV?

After just finishing watching this short I would say I can see this being a good series. In fact, I would like it this does gets turn into a series one day. I really like the characters, especially Akko and the story was entertaining. The animation was also really good and lively (especially when it came to showing the characters expressions), and I do like cute but cartoony the character designs (it reminds me of the character designs from Soul Eater).

When I get around to it I'm buying the Blu-ray.

It's called Death Parade and it starts in January. And while I'm excited to check it out, I would still rather see a Little Witch Academia series. Speaking of which, did they ever decide whether to dub LWA's original OVA? It would increase its popularity dramatically.

Santa Company? I believe currently it is only available if you backed one of the two Kickstarter projects.
