I've got the weird feeling that Saban's going to be eager to get his hands on this when this thing wraps up production. I wonder what he'll transform it into?

You know, I always assumed that wooden, weak acting was just a thing with sentai shows. I assumed that, like Power Rangers, they hired actors based on gymnastic and choreographic ability first, acting ability second.

Then I saw Gokaiger, which features AMAZING performances from its main cast, and they can all fight, too (and their in-suit actors do a great job of expressing their personalities through body language.)

And still later, I saw Power Rangers RPM, with a mostly (Ranger Red is a bit stiff) excellent group of actors who have gone on to be TV stars in New Zealand.

So really, the current crop of Power Ranger shows have no excuse for their crappy casting choices. You can find affordable actors who can act AND do cool martial arts moves, with a bit of effort.
