He's a teenage shinigami drowning in debt. She's a girl in his normal-human-school class who can see ghosts. Together, they troubleshoot ghost problems!

And of course there's the usual Rumiko Takahashi ensemble cast gathered up along the way to facilitate shenanigans.

Wow, they're finally getting around to animating this series. I remember when this series came out but was surprised that it was kind of left behind.

the manga is not very good. Not sure if they fix it in the anime.

I doubt much can be changed. I like the comic because the vague feel it gives of something like Urusei or maybe Ranma, but the run is the MC is a deadpan kind of guy, That personality is a hard sell without a comic character, which the series seems to lack.
