I haven't watched the OVAs because they were never legally available, I'm very excited to get the chance to buy them. Can't wait.

All I want to know is whether Section 23 will be including the Manga Entertainment or the Bandai dub with the Patlabor movie. If it's the former, they have themselves a sale. I'm glad I bought the Bandai sets as a collector's piece, but even with superior visual quality, I couldn't bear to watch them more than once. Peter Marinker as Goto is a core part of those films to me.

They should include both English dubs for the Patlabor movie. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, though neither are great. Peter Marinker is a great Gotoh, but I also prefer to have a more faithful script. And the Manga Entertainment dub is comprised of more than Marinker, and some of those VAs aren't nearly as good.

I'm holding out for the second Patlabor movie, since I only have the original Manga Entertainment release for that one and would appreciate the upgrade.

The Magical☆Star Kanon 100%'s premise sounds hilarious and I've read good reviews and opinions about it.
synopsis from ANN's entry for 'Magical☆Star Kanon 100%' wrote:
Elsie sees an ad for an audition to play Kanon's little sister in a TV drama, and so she flies over to the studio. On the way there she encounters a Runaway Spirit that enters the studio and transforms Kanon into a child, right before the auditions she is supposed to be judging. Kanon and Elsie must work together to capture the Runaway Spirit and save the auditioners.

If only the last arc was to be animated...

I am very glad that they were able to get the first Patlabor movie. I assume they will release the second one as well.

You probably should point out in the article that this Ninja Scroll release is a re-release at a cheaper price, Sentai already released the film in 2012.

Since I have the Manga Ent.version of Patlabor on DVD, I may consider an upgrade to it on Bluray.

Very glad to hear that the TWGOK OVAs are finally licensed.

Those Bandai editions of Patlabor were pretty good, though. And in still in plentiful availability on Amazon. So I hope anyone else who has 'em is willing to double-dip, 'cus I'm not.

Actually, the re-release is the same price as the previous release.

I was upset that they didn't get the OVA's for TWGOK. Especially since 2 of them are required viewing to understand the third season. Plus the magical girl spin off is really quite good!

According to WTK at FandomPost, it will have the Bandai dub. I also wish they would include both dubs, since it's always interesting to compare and I hear the Manga UK dubs are classics.

I didn't notice that. It makes a re-release kinda pointless. Rolling Eyes Maybe it's such a big seller that they're hoping to fool some fans into thinking it's a new version of the movie or something?

Damn it. Well, it might still be worth it, but with just one of those dubs, it'll be low priority to me, since I already own the movie once on DVD.

Would be better if they were releasing both films in a pack, and both films had both dubs.
