Nice! I love the series and welcome more.

Here's Nozomi's chance to get in the Blu-ray market; I'd double-dip for BDs.

I am a little anxious since it would be 100% original material (since the manga is finished), but if well done it would be AWESOME!!!

Wow, I never EVER expected this. Well, the Blu Rays, yes, but not any new anime. I really hope Nozomi does decide to do Blu Rays, although I'd imagine I'd probably just drop the $600+ on an import simply because I absolutely love the series.

Tokyo Pop did not complete the manga series. They managed only 6 out of 12 volumes.

Hopefully Nozomi will release this on Blu-ray, or the Japanese release comes with subtitles Very Happy! I'm very surprised at this happening though, since it's been such a long time since the original series ended and it covered the entire manga. I won't say no to more Aria though, can't wait to see this Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy!

"All television series" will also receive a Blu-ray Box release in Japan as part of the same project.

Even though the chance is very low i'm still hoping that there will be Eng subs on the BD box. It would definitely guarantee them at least one happy gaijin customer Anime hyper!

More Aria is always welcome in my book. It's a very nice series to unwind and get rid of stress with.

I really liked "Aria," so this is great news in that respect...but at the same time, "Origination" left the series on such a high note and felt like the perfect way to end it, so the idea of there being more after that feels kind of weird.

It'd be nice if it was a "ten years later, where are they now" sort of thing but then again, Sato had his own ideas of where they'd be.

Anyway, I'm mildly curious but more for the characters than the world as there's more than enough of that already. I'm still trying to force myself through the previous OVA episode.

And please don't make it about the cats...

One last thing: Athena and Tomoko Kawasaki and Eri Kawai. Sato, just do it right by doing the right thing, ok?

@Animegomaniac, I'm assuming by that last sentence you mean not replacing Tomoko?

I can't express how happy I am to see this news. I really can't. Just gonna loop Rainbow -acoustic ver.- by ROUND TABLE featuring Nino all day now.....which also reminds me that they're on Hiatus still.....TIME TO COME BACK GUYS. Seriously, they need to at least briefly come back just for this anime. I'd be happy with Akino Arai too though. Smile. hironou2525's acoustic cover of said song is pretty awesome.

Wow, Sato's on a roll this year with all those Tamayura movies and now this Surprised

But, if the manga has ended and been covered completely by the previous TV series and OVA, that means this new anime will be all new material not by the original author, which has me worried about continuity and canon and such Neutral

And without Kawai, Kawakami and Round Table/Nino, will it really be Aria? It's going to be hard to add to such a masterpiece without fumbling it.

As for Nozomi possibly going bluray, that'd be awesome. I'd pre-order Aria and Sound Of The Sky, even though I already have both on DVD. SotS in particular really should've been on BD in the first place.
