I hope Kizaki and Kouichi get together.

wut this is/was ongoing?

i only watched the anime and it was thoroughly disappointing, it felt like watching a copy of evangelion. if the manga handles the MC differently then id be willing to give it a shot

The anime was terrible, even by Gonzo standards.

They simplified the mechanical designs and redesigned the characters, completely rewrote Soubi's character making him a separate character entirely, cranked up the harem antics, made Reiji out to be a dick (completely the opposite from his portrayal in the source material where he may be cold and calculating but he has his reasons) and making the final boss come out of nowhere. They also dragged out Kouichi's stint of being unlikable longer than it has to be. In the manga, it's over rather quickly.

The only good things to come out from it were the voice cast and the OST (minus the opening).

I really hope it gets a faithful adaption in animated form outside of SRW, even though the odds are low.

I'm not sure where you're getting the Evangelion thing from though.

that i have to see to believe. him not acting like a prick is like kenta from desert punk becoming a priest. personally there are some people that do like the anime version cause they really make him as the true anti hero and where everyone loves to hate the guy.

though he pales in comparions to other anti heroes like lelouch/zero.

regardless, i cant see him anything as a anti hero cause if he wasnt, then other people would be complaining as some kind of evangelion or worse,a dual parallel trouble adventures clone since the only thing that would prevent the series from becoming a mess were to make it a mecha harem series ala dual. luckily in the anime version he's too much of a prick to let that happen which at times was really funny.

at least the manga will be coming out so US fans will know for sure.
