I really want the next BL anime adaptation to be Ten Count. It's also selling well in Japan.

Not surprised to see 10 Count at #1. I hear about it all the time but I'm unsure what it's appeal is as I've yet to import it.

Glad to see ITW up there too even though it's not my thing because it is a quality work.

North American publisher Digital Manga published In These Words in 2012 and will publish Even So, I Will Love You Tenderly in May. The company also licensed Twittering Birds Never Fly, and released the second volume on February 10.

Digital Manga's titles are delayed going back to December 2014. The second volume of Twittering Birds Never Fly is not out in print yet only digital (it's also censored). When Even So, I Will Love You Tenderly will be published is anyone's guess too.

Did Twittering Birds actually get released in February? I pre-ordered it through Amazon back in October and they told me that the date had been pushed back to July.

It wouldn't surprise me if I missed getting a copy. They almost canceled my pre-order for the first copy saying they didn't have enough copies.

I hope that ITW gets a US release. The artwork in that book is amazing.

Never heard of Ten Count before. I'll start reading it tonight.

I expect good things for it to be #1. Wink

I knew Ten Count was very popular, but didn't expect it to top the list. I like it, but it treads the line of non-con a bit too much for my comfort. I love the Kuroneko Kareshi series, in particular the most recent spinoff about Kakami's brother. I really need to get around to read all those Yoneda Kou series.

Disappointed not to see anything from Yamamoto Kotetsuko, she's a very prolific writer and her stories are very creative. She's also one of few authors that doesn't fall for rapey "romance", and in general, she's very good at avoiding clichés. My ultimate dream is to see Honto Yajuu in anime form

I've only read Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai and Ten Count on that list.

Honestly, Saezuru is probably the best BL I've read. Possibly because my BL repertoire is almost non-existent, but I found the characters engaging and interesting, especially Yashiro. He's definitely unique as a bottom and a character. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would give BL a chance.

On the other hand, I've got mixed feelings on Ten Count. I remember it started out pretty good and realistic, but I dropped it as soon as it started getting sexual. I've got nothing against sexy times, but it seemed like as soon it started, it started going way too fast (especially for the other guy and his condition).

Looks like I need to add Ten Count to my back log of BL series to read. Umibe no Étranger cover looks very appealing but the "after 3 years" puts me off - it frustrates me how the love of someone's life is still available and also interested after such a long period of time.

Funny because I was just at Animate yesterday and looking at the new releases in the BL manga section and thought this one book had nice art. It was Ten Count. Anime hyper

I've been poking my head in around the genre for over 10 years and I will say I think Twittering Birds Never Fly is special. It's a series that feels like something fresh by blending a lot of disparate parts together. While it takes some ideas that are familiar to well-read fans, Ms. Yoneda explores and executes them in a way that is masterful. So I agree if someone is comfortable with erotic art, bad language and heavier serious content then it is a very good choice.
