This actually looks really interesting and like it could be good. Nothing like a good period piece to get the creative juices flowing.

Animation looks good but the character designs look super Ghibli-ish. Pretty odd for an IG film, but oh well.

Eh, besides the young boy who looks a bit Haku-eqsue thanks to his hairstyle I really don't think the characters look especially Ghibli.

But yes, very excited for this, especially considering the company and director its coming from. Looking forward to seeing this in theaters in not too long.

It is funny to thing that at one point I.G was well known for state of the art animation, and was one of the earliest studios in Japan to incorporate computer technology into hand drawn animation.

Now they are releasing titles, with as little assistance from computers as possible. Bunny Drop, Giovanni's Island, HAL and now this, all have a very pastel or oil painted look to them, a far cry from the high tech look of Blood the Last Vampire.

I'd definitely like to see this film at some point. It sounds interesting and I like the style.
