And in the background of that music video, nobody cared.

It's pretty clear who this music video caters to though, between it being filmed in Akihabara and a lot of shots being in an arcade.

Still, light-up skirts seems like such a weird-Japan thing.

Light Up skirts seems mundane compared to some of the more esoteric trends that pop up in Japan.

A light up skirt. Am I the only one that hopes that this doesn't come to this country? No matter how you look at it,it's just plain weird.

I was expecting the video to be a bit provocative and suggestive, but it was actually rather tame and innocent.

I enjoyed the video. I found the song, singing, choreography and performance to be entertaining. But it did not seem like they made very effective use of the skirts.
The light drew attention to the skirts, but the zettai ryōiki were actually more visible in the scenes where the skirts were not lit. Or so it seems to me.

I really do not see anything weird about this.
Here in the US we have had shoes with lights for many years.
At least these skirts are designed to illuminate something that I might actually want to look at.
And they provide added safety at night.Wink
