Yay!!!! I love "Windy Tales!"

Gotta say, I'm really surprised to hear this is getting an official release. It's older, pretty obscure, and not big on action or drama. There are a lot of other titles I wish we had that I would've expected to get licensed before this. Maybe this means there's still hope for them?

No way!!! I loved this show. So glad all these forgotten shows from the mid-00s era are getting slowly released.

I've never even heard of this one before. Character designs look a bit odd, but I'll at least sample and see if it's something I might like.

Whaaaaaaaat?? This show didn't even get enough of a fan reaction to have a steady fansub release back in the day. Man, I loved it though. Really whimsical; I feel like there was an early 00s chunk of anime that was just about enjoying life and nature, before cute slice-of-life became the trend. Such a cool show.

Hmm. That's a surprising license since it's not something I've ever seen people clambering for. I really loved the aesthetic of the show and there are some great sequences of animation in there courtesy of Shinya Ohira. Too bad I found the show pretty dull at times. They introduced some neat elements at the start that didn't turn out to be what the show was really interested in exploring. There are only so many episodes of girls taking pictures of clouds a person can watch Laughing Still maybe this means my dreams of weird shows like Kemonozume getting licensed aren't totally dead.

OK, this I never saw coming. I have no idea how this could ever sell.

First Shining Hearts, then REIDEEN, now Windy Tales.

Sentai sure loves saving forgotten Production I.G shows. Not that it's a bad thing or anything...

Oh yeah, Windy Tales was one of my absolute top series on my "will probably never be licensed" list. It's one of the more overlooked seminal "healing anime" titles, and this is one anime with an experimental aesthetic that I don't find ugly, which is fairly rare.

I'm probably seeing too much into things, but I swear Windy Tales also had a visual influence on some other slice-of-life anime, and I'm thinking specifically of K-On!, not in the faces but rather how the girls are often drawn in a subtle high angle perspective which exaggerates how small their legs, and especially their shins, look below their seemingly normal-sized torsos (or, in short, "chicken leg syndrome").

I'm joyful that earlier anime shows are being looked at and picked up. Even if Windy Tales never gets an English version, there's always that dub from Animax...

I liked Windy Tales, but really, it deserves an R1 release ahead of Dennou Coil or Nodame Cantabile? Next we'll hear that Sentai has licensed RD Sennou Choshitsu ("Real Drive").

Since this is another title from TFC (Tohokushinsha Film Corporation). I'm thinking CoffeeGod and Blazevincent on fandompost might be right to suspect that Sentai might get Paranoia Agent.

Whoa! I love this show's art style but I never expected it to come to America. Very Happy

What gives, Sentai? They better stop getting my hopes up for other criminally unappreciated shows like Kaiba or Kemonozume. Heck, if Paranoia Agent get rescued I will pass out before I can preorder it.

Paranoia Agent would be an awesome license rescue. I wonder if that is on Bluray in Japan and whether or not it's an upscale.

Holy crap, YES. I'm not going to worry about other deserving unlicensed series; this pays for all. There is good in the world, after all.
