Neat. Maybe I'll finally 100% Ayesha so I can move onto Escha and Logy so that I can actually watch this. Wilbell is one of my favorite characters in the the two PS3 trilogies of Atelier games. Love them massive witch hats, although it looks like they toned her hat back for the anime.

That is a solid pickup considering I don't think this show was ever simulcasted.

Cool pickup by Sentai. I wonder if this is getting a dub.

I'm sure it will but I wouldn't count on the cast returning. They haven't been outsourcing like they used to.
I wish FUNi got this anime, it would stand more of a chance(they are returning the casts for Hyperdimension & BlazBlue after all).

And likely retaining the cast for Danganronpa as well. Well, I hope that Sentai does follow Funi's example, but as long as it gets a dub, I cannot complain much since certain video game based anime *cough Tales of Abyss *cough* remain tragically undubbed.

I'm still shocked Tales of Abyss wasn't dubbed. Perhaps they think its not relevant as its based on an older game but the Tales series is popular with a fanbase.

I can't wait for the dub where absolutely no one returns and the lead girl is annoying and awkward, has a strong Honduran accent that makes it impossible to understand a word she says and wheezes like a middle aged smoker.

If they even dub it that is. I mean, are you sure this show has the honour and prestige that shows like Super Sonico and Shiawase no Pan have to get the long sought after Sentai Filmworks treatment?

Girls look cute for sure, but it looks like another harem fantasy anime though.

It's not a harem. It's based off of a JRPG game.

Fansubs. It already aired in Japan and I wouldn't be surprised that 150 people watched the fansubs of it already.

I love the games, I'll gladly support Sentai's pick up of this. I figured it would be a shoein for NISA to grab it given their history with Atelier and was hoping for a nice limited edition.

The pink-haired girl and the white-haired boy share the protagonist spot (it honestly feels more like the girl Escha is more dominant in this anime though) and this series of games this anime comes from is mostly female protagonists all over the place with little romance. despite all of the slice of life plots.

I guess it counts as a JRPG moreso than the games before the Dusk trilogy. They kind of did improve the combat compared to Arland instead of the alchemy. The series itself is still mostly an item crafting simulator though. There's a great quote out there:

"Okay, you know how every RPG has the grand heroes chosen by fate to become wonderful friends and stand up to the evil sorcerer/empire/corporation/monster and keep it from destroying the world?

This game is not about them.

You know how in almost every RPG, buried about halfway down the final dungeon, sitting next to the second to last save point in the game there's a shopkeeper who has every healing item in the game and every weapon or bit of armor that doesn't require an epic quest? The one who leaves you wondering: "Just how in blazes did she get down here? I'm the ridiculously powerful chosen one and it's almost impossible for me to do it so how did a lowly shopkeeper pull it off"?

This game is about her."

Atelier series are pretty much never harem fantasies since it's always about a female alchemist and her interactions with other peeps which tends to be mostly female. The one I think of that was harem-ish was that Atelier game for the PSP that was more of an otome bent.
