Eh.............that key visual. It doesn't look like the way I remember it.

Not sure how I feel about this. Hope to see a PV in the future.

Yeah, I understand how you feel. Was interested in this anime mainly because the manga has a nice design style for the girls, but now it looks different. Maybe the lack of thick outlines for their hair and just "regular" looking eyes. Hopefully the PV dismisses this feeling. If not, at least the manga is getting localized.

Yeah, I am not feeling Shiragami's character designs and I am not a big fan of the manga designs, but this definitively is not an improvement, reeks of generic/lacks personality. Hope this is only a test and not the final designs.

In the premise that the male lead has to keep a secret about the true identity of someone, sure.

Decided to do a google image search after reading the comments, and yeah without the exaggerated mouth design the promotional shot looks all to similar to 80% of anime adaptations within the past few years.

Maybe the adaptation won't be so bad, but if it was going for a "unique look" when it comes to character design it failed hard.

I'll be honest, those character designs look like shit.

i think they actually tone it a bit for the anime

the manga art style is like this

but at least it's kind of correct-- since now a day the anime style of high school students look like a bunch of petite kids -- or look more like Jr. High more than high school

Anime pretty much always bases its character designs on the most recent level of art available. The manga's art style changes notably within just a few chapters of the first.

It's no exaggeration to say that the entire appeal of the series revolves around silly reaction faces, so if the character designs aren't up to par then I can't see this show being any good.

Just compare these designs to the ones seen in the anime announcement article: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-01-26/vampire-romantic-comedy-manga-jitsu-wa-watashi-wa-gets-tv-anime/.83703

The characters look like they've been Shōnen-fied from the manga's art design. But seeing the seiyū that are attached to the project is giving me hope for a solid VA.

I like the manga designs better. Looking at the picture I almost did not recognize it for this series. At the same time summer is going to be amazing. I get my 4th favorite manga, this series, and my 7th, Monster Musume, to start airing. At the same time I am super worried for both in terms of how they are going to work for the adaptation since each chapter is self contained. This series is more of where is it going to stop, Monster Musume will probably go to chapter 30, since that chapter is a great way to end it. This series has no real way to have an ending with more then likely 12 ep. It also being a weekly series as well.

Having only seen some of the covers on the previous ANN article for this series, kind of disappointed with this initial image for the anime adaption.

Still, will have to see how things look animated. May surprise me, and they'll have better facial expressions when animated.

Seiyuu cast looks competent (if their previous work is anything to go by).
