The 1st episode was nice; felt different than Suzumiya Haruhi no Yūutsu, lighter in tone and more SoL.

You have Keiko Goto listed as the voice of Mikuru Asahina twice; she's actually played by Yuko Goto!
Looking forward to watching the first episode tonight. Always been a huge Haruhi fan. Read all the novels. Keen on slice-of-life anime. Original voice cast are all back. It's no substitute for a genuine continuation of the novels' storyline, but I'll take it regardless. |

Taniguchi and Kunikida actually have speaking roles in this show...? That doesn't happen until about volume 6 of the manga.

I only watched season one of Haruhi and part of Haruhi chan. I have to say it was "interesting." I showed it to my sister and she had the exact same reaction as I did. My parents watched it as well and my mom thought it was stupid. But this I know will be different so I'm looking forward to it.

I think the difference is actually more intentional -- love it or hate it this isn't the Kyon you remember and the character art is supposed to reflect that. All the characters not just Kyon. If it weren't for the colors and the uniforms I doubt you would recognize the characters at all. |
