Didn't that rumor come straight from Bamco themselves? During initial announcement they hadn't secured all the licenses and weren't sure they would be able to.

I dunno, the first person I saw mention it named themselves as the source and didn't give anymore info than that(that I know of).

If you check the US website, it seems that all the characters are there. Click the "know more" button for each series and the associated playable (or support) characters will be shown.

So it does look like we're getting all the SJ characters regardless if they never made their US debut prior to this game release. That's good to know.

I see in this video that not even the artistic wizards at Bandai-Namco were able to make something good out of the really plain backgrounds Tite Kubo draws. Well, to me at least, this arena looks so very plain (even if I'm sure it'll be interesting to play due to its narrow corridors).
