Americanised colloquialisms in English dubs. My mortal enemy.

As much as I love Christian, I can't see this dub being anything but a train wreck from... well, every single sign I've gotten so far.

Oh well. It's not like Super Sonico deserved a dub as good as Watamote or HOTD got (Then again, neither did Watamote or HOTD).

Pretty fun choice, along with having the side by side viewing of the actors. Which I'm glad Seraphim is doing now for the reels just like the rest of the studios in the market give an take a handful of trys. Maybe thell be in the BD that I'll be pre-ordering soon.

Though Nigri had 1 or 2 short sentences, I already find it good. Its got a slight mix of Alexis Tipton and Leah Clark if ditzy an cute, 2 actresses I kinda dislike in majority of their work. But this seems a bit nice, dont fail on me now! Cool

I'm still shocked that this, of all things, is getting a dub. I guess they're hoping Sonico's hooters will have enough power to pull in some extra fans.

Now I've had the chance to listen to this a few times again I... seriously think that Jessica was a casting mistake that this dub probably won't recover from.

I'm not a fan of Sentai's dubs to begin with so my expectations were already extremely low and I'm honestly shocked this is actually sounding worse than I expected.

Jessica is absolutely not the kind of actress who can pull off a character like Sonico and her attempts to hit the same tone and pitch are making her sound just... flat and wooden and amateurish. This is really baffling to me, because yes, this is pretty much her second role, but she really knocked it out of the park as Cinder in RWBY.

Ugh. This show was dead in the water the instant Sentai got its hands on the dub license but it's still disappointing to see a show I was looking forward to supporting in the west come out so shit.

Yeah, this dub sure has big shoes to fill. Super Sonico will be forever ruined with Jessica Nigri's voice! Rolling Eyes

lmfao are you actually serious with me right now

shit son it's almost like i wanted to voice my opinion on a bad dub and the source material of the dub has little to do with how bad the end product of the english production is

like seriously, regardless of what you think of super sonico, this is... not a good dub.

...Except, this is ONE CLIP of the dub. Sonico has maybe two lines of dialogue in this one clip. Clearly we should all know from this one clip that the dub won't be able to fill the original's OH SO BIG SHOES. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, you'd think people would know better to not be judging a full dub just from a clip after the fiasco from the Love, Chunibyo, and other Delusions clip of Rikka's dub voice that people took out of context that was followed by the actual Blu-Ray coming out and most admitting the dub was pretty good after all.

Not saying that this dub will necessarily be good, but writing it off automatically is just unwise as history has shown.

one clip with bad, wooden voice acting from the lead character with an awkward script from a company that is already known for making shitty dubs.

... also i don't know what you're trying to imply with the LOL BIG SHOES AM I RIGHT thing because i never said the original was a shining beacon of scripting or voice acting, only that this dub sounds shit so far and i will be very surprised if it turns out anything other than shit.
