The title got me worried that Japan had come up with something that I definitely must have, but it turns out they're kind of ugly and the colors are so dull it actually makes me sad. These are obviously not made by Tomoyo

We're using "grown-up" in the heaviest of finger quotes.

These are very cheap looking and seem bland in the colors, it makes me yawn, not good at all.

Doesn't look good on grown-ups.

Do they still do that in this millennium? Seriously.
But yeah, I'm getting that "cosplay" vibe over "fashion", unless there's a new trend for elementary-uniform wear.

Yeah, I don't get these at all. The hoop skits, maid aprons and frills are too much for street fashion, but they're too simplified and dull to be cosplay.
The last one is pretty cute, though.

I was really hoping some of the cuter outfits would have been made, like the black/pink cat ear ensemble or the blue sheep suit. I would have loved to have seen a OL type version of those, maybe accessories by a cute but small wand pinned to the suit?
Loved the guys in SM suits. I'd be more interested in watching SMC if they were in it.

Why didn't this come out when the comic was in it's height of popularity? During the days, when my friend and I were watching CCS there was one thing we agreed on. It was the fact that Clamp not only could make comics but their characters had a fashion sense out of this world. No stock clothes for their characters. Hell, they could have been fashion designers.

Pretty much all of those outfits looks like they were attacked by the Drab Monster. It's especially apparent when compared with the images they're based off.

Yeah, I liked it better twenty years ago, when Sailor Moon was first airing, and the idea of making kitschy fun of the "funny" overexposed anime cartoon girls at conventions was really......really............really......................NEW.
That said, they're not as gratuitously ugly as the last generation, so these probably are fans, and must have gotten confused and just lost touch with what all the old traditions were about.

The designs of Sakura's outfits looked great on paper, but the actual results turned out to be subpar. The colors were just too bland to stand out.

The school uniform looks pretty accurate, and although the proportions have been adjusted to an adult's, but there's still something a bit off.
The red outfit, though, actually does look good and cute and appropriate for an adult.

Remember, these dresses are meant to be regular, casual clothes inspired by Sakura's dresses, NOT for cosplay purpose. Of course they look plain and boring, because they toned down the style a lot, so they don't look too weird to be worn by adults for casual fashion.
I mean... the elementary school uniform inspired dress looks great but in my opinion it'll probably make you look like immature brat. The rest of dresses look alright as plain casual clothes though.
