How Denpa Kyōshi is placed that high on that list? Matsui Rena's Kagami Suzune is rough-sounding, annoying and too distracting from what she actually says. And that generic plot... Even Mahō Sensō had more plot, and I don't use that example lightly.

Otaku Teacher must have a lot of family appeal or something. I'm trying to get into it but it's just not that entertaining. When I watch a comedy I want to get some really good laughs out of it, but two episodes in and I think it's only given me one mild chuckle. The second episode wasn't even that interesting. The animation is simple, the character designs are bland, and I can't stand his sister's voice. The story lines are so thinly put together it's easy to poke holes in them. I'm pretty disappointed, I heard the manga was really good. Maybe it's better in small doses?

BTW, in Japan when they fire a teacher for sexual misconduct do they usually stick them on a stage in front of the entire student body (but no faculty?) and say "just wanted to let you know we're firing this guy"? What the heck is that? Besides, didn't that scene basically rip off a similar scene in GTO? I fully expected him to throw the mic at someone.

Manga is really not that bad. Just A-1 magic. When they're doing 6 shows in one season there are series there that looks like...

It's because they changed plot. Originally in manga, the glasses girl was just a background and she didn't have a story. Kagami was a temporary teacher and they found a new one. So they gave him a farewell speech.

It airs just before Detective Conan. It actually went down a lot from the previous week.

You want to say 5 shows:
1- Fairy Tail
2- Mahou Shoujo Nanoha Lyrical Vivid
3- Uta Prince Sama: Maji Love
4- Gunslinger Stratos
5- Denpa Kyoushi

My problem with the 2nd episode was the messages in it.
1st he complains with the student because her theft can destroy the life of others, but he don't teach his students correctly, when he can and when she was complaining about that in that exact moment. Tell me about freaking hypocrisy!
2nd and the worse was when he talked to all the students of the school. He Literally says cheat(and actually do that) and don't follow the rules.

I hope this is horrible original content, because this is like a GTO that totally misses the mark.

Speaking of Denpa, did anyone else notice the considerable drop in artwork and animation quality between episodes one and two? I mean, the show didn't look great to begin with, but geez...

Meh, watched the third episode of Otaku Teacher and I think I'm done, there are much better shows this season to watch. This guy is boring, I'll wait and hope the real otaku teacher from Outbreak Company makes a comeback.

Anybody know if Sazae-san is actually any good or are they just watching it because they've always been watching it?

I'm pretty sure they only watch Conan out of habit by now.

Japan loves Detective stories, specially the kind of Sherlock Holmes. Detective Conan is the closest still running anime to that.

About Sazae-san, it is good! But it is a lot focused in family life and Japanese culture.
Is like the Simpsons, or to be more correct, the Simpsons are like Sazae-san, given that Sazae-san exists way before the Simpsons. Like, 20 years.

The big difference is that Sazae-san has less stupid comedy(but it still has it), and has more Japanese culture than Simpsons has American culture.
His the perfect anime to watch in family and the perfect anime that parents want their children to watch.

Yeah, it was the first show I dropped this season. Promising - if unambitious - premise with terrible execution.
