I watched a great documentary on the Egyptian guy (second from the left) that NHK WORLD did. It's worth checking out for those interested in Sumo in anyway. Specifically for noobs like me.

Moe ain't the word I'd use to described a bunch of sweaty men frolicking around a park in their underwear.

That's a bit... odd, taking into account Egypt is a Muslim country, and sumo wrestling is deeply rooted on Shinto religion.

The documentary goes over alot of that stuff, the guy even becomes the top wrestler at his stable. So he has to visit shrines etc. It's interesting stuff

I too like to frolic under the trees in the park in nothing but my undies. The sun kissing by taunt skin, the wind blowing thru my long rocker hair; nothing says spring has arrived than a naked (almost) man being with nature and turning heads. Wink

If you head over to his Wikipedia page, you'll see the trials he has had to go through as a practicing Muslim as well. Like wrestling on an empty stomach during Ramadan.

Hinomaru Zumo needs an anime, so sumo can take of again with the new generation.
You don't need to be big to do sumo.

They may look big and fat, but in no way are they out of shape. The lower guys start practice at 5am while the higher ranked guys are allowed to start at 7am. All of them do not eat breakfast. Practice ends at 11am and then they eat chanko with lots of rice. Among some of the things they do in practice includes tire dragging and carrying each other in sprints. For what they do, they have my respect. Now will Hakuho win yusho number 35 in May, or will somebody rise up to challenge him this time?

Moe and Sumo Wrestlers should never appear in the same sentence.

Ever.

That being said I still respect these guys. Keep up the work.

Damn straight. Sumo wrestlers are total badasses. If you want to see a man do moe, look no further than Mario's brother, Mr. Green 'Stache! XD

They need that build. But expected no less of you.

I read you very enlightening point of view on how B is better than OP because of looks! Surprised
