I'd mainly be interested in a panel like this just to see if anyone would have the guts to ask them what is wrong with them and why they suck so bad at putting on a decent show. Other than that it just seems like a cheap attempt by Aniplex to be able to advertise at conventions like they always want to.

Like honestly who the hell wants to go to a convention to see some hack director with a hit or miss resume and greedy producer with all of 6 credits to her name (mostly involving *surprise* publicity and advertising) who will likely have nothing to talk about other than to jack it to their company and spew bullshit about their current and upcoming products at the audience like their reps do at pretty much every convention they show up at? I mean at least when they had Masuo Ueda go to do pretty much exactly that at a convention a couple years ago where he hawked Aldnoah as the franchise that would supersede Gundam (how's that working out?) he had the long list of experience and credits to warrant him speaking at length about anime and the industry even if a large chunk of what he said was flat out bullshit.

I'd say good luck filling a room with enthusiastic people unless they plan on bringing Urobuchi along again as bait and that I bet even if people show up to see Aoki cause of his ties to Fate/Zero that the producer ends up doing most of the talking and it turns into an ad campaign anyway. I mean it's amazing, there's a pretty good chance that even Anime North could end up with a more interesting guest lineup than Otakon currently has going for it simply if they can land a couple of Japanese guests people actual would want to hear from and who aren't just there to advertise and I find it fascinating that the English side of the lineup looks more interesting. Like I'd totally be down for meeting Laura Bailey, she's had quite a career, particularly of late.

One other thing I find funny:

"In 2013, he was one of the founding members of the studio TROYCA, where he directed the innovative mecha series, ALDNOAH.ZERO."

I'm taking it Aniplex wrote the blurb themselves considering there's little that is innovative about that show and that he appears with more than just assistance from them so much as he's there as a representative.
