I have just finished Yowapeda. I was skeptical at first when I heared about an anime/manga for cycling.

this might be something different with moe girls. Ill give it an episode or two

A Yowamushi Pedal supplement, but with the entire cast as moe girls (as opposed to just Sakamichi Onoda)? ✌️

Also, I've seen that art style (or something very similar to it) before, but I can't remember the name of the series, or even if it was an anime or a manga...

Another cycling manga adaptation? Huh.

Have you seen One Off? It is a two-episode OVA featuring cute girls on motor scooters. They don't race the machines (how could one anyway, given the lack of power of such machines), but the scooters are important to the girls and they ride them everywhere. The only annoying things about are its short length (I would have preferred a series rather than an OVA) and the Honda product placement.

Well, One Off was Jun'ichi Satō directed Tamayura-like iyashikei-esque OVA-series which is thematically quite far from chick sports anime-series this looks like to be.

I believe Satō planned the OVAs as pilot for a TV-show but apparently the audience did not agree.

This is Yowapeda with girls in the same sense that Kurobas is Rokyuubu with boys. They share the same sport being played and that's about it.

While I like having more female focused anime, let's be honest.

Will this be more like Bamboo Blade or Encouragement of Climb in terms of tone or like Wanna be the Strongest in the World in terms of content because I really don't want it to be the latter.spoiler[ There's already a female bike hentai for goodness sake].

I really don't see it being anything close to Wanna be the strongest in the world.
And let's be honest, I'd MUCH rather get something like Bamboo Blade or Encouragement of Climb than something like Yowamushi Pedal.

Not quite sure if I like that art style. But we could always use more moe, right?

I had the same thought and [after a quick search] discovered that That's because its by the same creator as the 2002 manga series Spas-pa.
