As is proper. Ayres's Freeza is one of the big highlights of the English dub for DB(Z) Kai.

I was wondering what they were going to do. Nostalgia aside, I genuinely do like Chris Ayres more as Frieza. Linda Young still plays Baba so I'm thinking the decision was made to be more faithful to the Japanese. I can't really complain about Kai recasting a few characters. Sure we all fondly remember Sean Schemmel's performance as Goku and Chris Sabat's Vegeta, but is there anyone who genuinely felt gutted when they got rid of Jeice's Aussie accent?
Although I do find it a bit weird that Ayres sounds almost exactly like Little Kuriboh in the TFS parody. |

The funny thing is the people who think that certain VAs were replaced when they weren't.
Like when BoG came out and people reacted to the English dub trailer with, "Why did they replace Chris Sabat as Vegeta?!" Uh, they didn't. He just became a good actor, is all. That's why he sounds a little different now. |

No one else should ever voice Frieza again in English but Chris Ayres; he was my Male Dub Performance of the Year pick a couple of years ago for good reason.

In the extended edition of the film, the opening part that recaps Goku's life has her voice in the background. Most likely archive audio, as Stephanie Nadolny is also heard as Goku in that sequence and she hasn't worked with Funimation at all since Colleen Clinkenbeard replaced her as Gohan and Goku. |

Well if Nadolny is in it then it's definitely archive footage.
Why was it that Nadolny get replaced anyway? Has she just lost interest in voice acting? |

I often don't agree with your end of the year dub picks or dub reviews in general but good to know we're at least on the same page for this. Of course there always has to be a downside for anything positive... Chris Ayres as Frieza = YES! Todd Haberkorn as Jaco = 
Really wish ADR Directors like Sabat would stop casting him in new stuff. Unlikable voice for almost every anime character he plays.
