Instead of tackling a prickly issue like Article 9, how about a gimme like the censorship of genitals? You know, something that's kind of ridiculous to have up when your country produces about 100 adult videos every single day.

Japan should ally with their close Neighbors aka Russia and China. Why? just look at US allys and you will know why.

Since manga is so influential in Japan, guess they think this is the way to go.
BTW, did ya guys watch PM Abe's address speech --the first ever for a Japanese PM-- in front of the joint session of US Congress? (His English pronunciations weren't very good.)
And Japan won't ally with China and Russia - heck, they have territorial disputes with both. They even have territorial dispute with South Korea too - and they're already allies! That'd be the last thing they'd want.

Just because South Korea and Japan are both allied to the US doesn't mean they are allied to each other.
I'd think this methodology will be utterly ineffective, since it's not the common man Abe needs to convince, but rather Komeito, or that entity which must not be named that influence this party in the background...

All this article 9 stuff seems odd from a country that wont have any young people left to serve by the time Abe picks a fight with China...I mean the demons from across the sea attack the peaceful Imperial Moe Navy.

If soldiers coming home from war = baby boom, then the clear solution to a demographic crisis is to send soldiers to war.
