I would like to a life-like Japanese robot modeled after a Mastiff-type dog (Their Tosa Inu from the Kochi area is 1).

I would be overwhelmed with joy if I were to one day be greeted by a maid robot at a café.

I may not be surprised that "Kodomoroid" is a thing but my main reaction is still this: Shocked
I am watching Plastic Memories and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep/Blade Runner are my favorite novel/movie but seeing these things actually happen during my lifetime is something else i will admit as our Cylon overlord now can read the news better then humans:

Good on HxH and Madhouse is the king of adaptations even if the source material is better here.

No mention of the (admittedly non-commercial) Kirobo?

An anime/manga harem with all the girls (at least 4) being busty androids would be interesting.

Why am I not surprised Sharp responded to consumer demand for a talking hoover by giving it an imouto personality. Never change, Japan.

Anime on tv eh? I really want Cartoon Network air anime besides Pokemon like airing Cardfight Vanguard,Beast Saga and Beywarriors Cyborg(Way better than the Beyraiderz anime). Pivot airing Guilty Crown would be nice I mean, They did air C-Control,why not Guilty Crown? I think Nicktoons would do SGT Frog than the contract by ADV. Squid Girl would work as well. And Syfy needs to bring back the Ani-Monday block......NOW. And CN needs variety like airing Love Live(getting a dub) and Nichijou(IF IT GETS Licensed and DUBBED!). Now,anime is kinda getting better. Look, Smile Of A Child Has Little Women,Superbook(Bad Timeslot),Flying House, and Swiss Family Robinson,Disney Anime hyper has Doraemon,Nicktoons has LBX,YuGiOh and Digimon, and we always have Toonami on Adult Swim and The Funimation Channel.......if you have U-Verse. Shorts HD and M-Net has anime. I think that's it besides Pokemon.

I still remember when Robosapiens were considered the cutting edge of consumer robotics technology.

I feel old.

Pepper is absolutely terrifying in person. Even walking by her deactivated weirded me out. Like please, don't wake up!

Ishiguro just won't quit with those uncanny valley-rific androids. When I first saw his Geminoid clone on TV it gave me nightmares for weeks! I have to hand it to him, though...his attention to detail is incredible.

Regarding omiya´s Toyota-bot. This is us in 50 years. We will stare at the ceiling in some forgotten old folks home with creepy as hell robomaids as our only company. Long live the future...

Military robot´s are also another fascinating topic:

Now, if they would put just a little more effort onto climbing out of the uncanny valley, and pour enough resources to make memristors viable... Smile
