Monthly Afternoon is a magazine published by the company Kodansha. Do you know which other magazine Kodansha publishes? Weekly Shōnen Magazine. Do you know what is published in Weekly Shōnen Magazine? Hajime no Ippo. I rest my case. Wink

For those that wonder what a manga about a black boxer would be like, the short (20 ch.) early 90s manga called Blaster Knuckle stars an ex-slave boxer fighting cannibalistic werewolf-vampire KKK members.

I think someone should pitch this to a Hollywood studio. I can already envision its vibe as a mix of Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction, based on your description of the series.
