I'd really like that since I'm a huge sucker for shows like this.

Every episode of this show left a smile on my face and caused more than a few laughing fits, so if a 2nd season happens I'd definitely be up for it.

I always prefer to watch anime with their original Japanese track, but I do sample English dubs when they're available and this one's a solid effort. The constant mispronunciation of Takao's name by the English cast does get quite irritating though, I mean seriously how hard is it to get right?

They talked about her name in the commentary. They had a lot of trouble pronouncing it. I'm still not even sure how to pronounce it myself.

Great review! Definitely a solid "B" series for me, too. With a few minor tweaks, this could've easily been an "A," though.

It's funny you mentioned a physical version of Roka's game, Rebecca. I think Funimation made a kickstarter for it as an April Fool's joke this year.

They talked about her name in the commentary. They had a lot of trouble pronouncing it. I'm still not even sure how to pronounce it myself.

It is phonetic. TA KA O. Say it at conversational speed and it becomes "TA-kao," like "taco" with an extra A after the C.

Couldn't they just have listened to the original voice track to hear how it's pronounced in Japanese? If they legitimately did not know how to pronounce it... ask someone? Like, if it was instead some kind of German word or chemical compound, you'd think they would do some research into how to pronounce it correctly instead of just winging it, so same thing should happen here...

that's how most of the dub pronounces it, maybe because it's been a few days since i first listened to the dub but i didn't think it was being pronounced wrong at all? i have a copy coming in the mail so maybe i just need to re-listen but most were saying ti Ta-Ka-O.

I don't have the Funi release to listen to it myself :X but I figure Rebecca knows what she's talking about, so yeah, not sure.

As hard as it is to believe but the weird pronunciations do get approved by the Japanese.

Honestly, with shows that fall into the harem category, I am not really looking for much development beyond these: great fan service and that the lead guy ends with the female protagonist.

Tia has been known to play other busty characters like Cat Planet Cuties' Eris.

That is my recollection. Maybe some mispronounced it occasionally, but I don't recall it being a major problem, and I watched it pretty recently. I also recall in the commentary that they said they had to focus on that name since it would slip out as "tako" otherwise.

Man, I wish this series would get another season.

It's so much fun, and that's coming from a guy who typically doesn't like comedy anime.
