From the get-go. I said that this show would be another flash in the pan waifu-debate fest. Hate to say I told you so, but...

I like the show... but space for 100 circles? That's too much. It is popular, yeah, it is selling well, yeah, Hestia is our goddess and savior, yeah, but expectations were just too high. That's a space designed for Touhou or KanColle events, not for a single light novel series.

Is it hanging by a string? I'd say no if you guys are posting articles like this. I'd say it's as strong as ever.

The simple reality is that Hestia is but one character, to have one event devoted only to it you either need a plethora of characters (touhou, kancolle) or you need a genre that spans several series/movies (zombies, superheroes). But that does not mean that danmachi is any less popular than yesterday.

I could be wrong since I do not live in japan nor I am a fan a this kind of events, but I do not remember ever hearing such an event being done for Ah! Megami-sama which was very popular back in the day. This reeks of someone using Hestia to organize his/her own doujinshi event and it blowing in his/her face.

Well, it looks like that that they will have to bust out some other ideas.

The LN sales week-to-week speak for themselves. I've yet to watch the series, but this news doesn't convince the series isn't popular.

Now this is a cliffhanger, the popularity is holding by a small string. Lets see if the popularity will still be around by the time Summer Comiket arrives.

It got enough circles at Comic1*9, but to try and organize an entire event around one character is ridiculous. I doubt it's losing popularity though, just someone ran into this without thinking ahead.

Sounds like someone in a suit thought "I saw 100 different Hestia homage/parody pics on twitter, therefore there must be 100 doujin groups just waiting for the chance to write & sell fanfic if only we give them a venue."

Yeah... I mean, I love Hestia and Danmachi's my favorite anime of the season so far but this seems like overkill. Then again, I have no idea how these events are supposed to work.

It seems that the DanMachi crew must've depended on Hestia a bit too much for their event to be a showstopper.

However, I don't think it's the end of them. Perhaps it was just a slow day and they just got unlucky?
