Akame ga Kill on Toonami? Somehow, this doesn't surprise me...

Might check out the first few episodes to see how it compares to the original.

Well, M&H is an obvious pick because of Watanabe's involvement. I'm a little surprised that it wasn't a Viz replacement, seeing as how few slots they have on the block right now. But FUNi hasn't had a new, non-repeat show other than the long runners since Hellsing Ultimate ended.

I have not heard especially glamorous things about Akame ga Kill, mainly that it tries to be too edgy and a little immature, but I guess I'm looking forward to it. I'll just make sure to have my expectations in check.

Definitely disappointed with the Michiko and Hatchin pick. It should've been either Psycho-Pass or Blood Blockade Battlefront. I have a feeling M&H is going to get really lackluster ratings. However, they said it was going to replace Iyuyasha, but that doesn't guarantee that it'll be put in the same spot.

As for Akame, I think I'm more happy over the fact that Toonami and Sentai are working together than getting the show itself. When Jason said "Sentai Filmworks" I was actually thinking he'd say No Game No Life instead. But regardless, Akame is a good pick for the block.

I'm excited! I like Akame Ga Kill even though the manga was better. I wonder who the voice are. O__O

I wonder why it took Sentai so long to add an anime to Toonami. I actually found about the Michiko & Hatchin airing on there from Jad Saxton's Facebook fan page.

Akame Ga Kill doesn't look all that promising, but Michiko & Hatchin is a fantastic series that should have made it to the block years ago. Really excited for it to finally get there.

Looking forward to interesting Twitter reading material when Akame ga Kill airs. Knowing the intent of the writer and what he could have done with the manga, I'm glad it went the way it did. White Fox made a huge mistake adapting this to 24 episodes. The things not to like about the manga became big problems because the original pacing of the monthly manga was thrown out. The rage will be strong and the viewing figures will be weak for the final third. This is from someone who intends to buy it when it is released in the UK.

I might need to pick up Michiko and Hatchin SAVE since it is region free. I've heard things about as mixed for both of the shows. I suspect a few those who dislike Michiko and Hatchin may like Akame ga Kill. That is a pure guess based on those I know.

I think it is a good thing that a Sentai show will be on Toonami. Sentai does not have many action/adventure oriented shows, but I hope more of their shows appear on Toonami.

Psycho-Pass is a good choice, but it is too soon for BBB.

I'll be sure to set my DVR for M&H, I've only seen the first episode dubbed (it seems like the kind of show I ought to watch dubbed) so this is a great opportunity!

This is amazing news. I mean, I'm whatever about M&H ( from what I've seen its alright, and it looks like a good fit for Toonami) but Akame ga Kill on Toonami is awesome. It was one of my favorite series from last year, and just the fact that Toonami is getting its first Sentai series is pretty significant.

Michiko & Hatchin sounds interesting, so I'll look forward to watching it. Surprised that it wasn't a Viz show that was coming to the block, but having Sentai joining in is welcoming.

About damn time we got a Sentai property on Toonami! Why should Funimation have a near-monopoly?

I'm a bit surprised that Akame ga Kill is appearing on Toonami despite it not having an English version yet. Maybe Sentai announced that they're preparing it and I missed it?
