Splatoon domination, but Cross Ange is the real MVP. Congrats to the 4k people who bought Psycho Pass. Wii U increased, but nothing noteworthy. PS4 still above 10k. NO!!! Brave Lee!!!

Congratulations to Splatoon for reaching the No. 1 rank! Smile The third-person shooter title is a refreshment from the first-person shooter titles with its colorful ink and turf wars.

It will be interesting to see the longevity of Splatoon as it's always nice to see a new Nintendo IP become a long-lasting franchise.

Apparently, the Squid Girl costume is actually happening?

Also, yes, Splatoon is really crack like... I've put in like 70 hours or something since the game came out on Friday. I just can't get enough of how interesting movement in the game is.

I might finally break down and buy a Wii U for Splatoon. Not immediately though, if I even do. Sure, you can (almost) always count on new iterations in the Zelda/Mario/Metroid (if only) franchises to be released on Nintendo's consoles, but I tend to find that it's actually new franchises that really push me over the edge and finally get me to buy them. I decided to eventually buy a 3DS after months of putting it off because Kid Icarus Uprising looked so cool (it remains my favorite game for the system). I know that Kid Icarus is not technically a new franchise, but Uprising was a radical enough change of the series that it easily could have been one. Now all we need is an HD remake for the Wii U, then I would buy one immediately. Although a new Metroid game would be even better. I best not get my hopes up on that one...

I've lost my train of thought again...

I'm glad for Splatoon. Is a great game, I've had lots of fun. It deserves everything, and we deserve the Squid Girl outfit! And for free!

Splatoon makes me want to get a Wii U so badly. I seriously want to play Splatoon so much. For now I'll watch everyone else have fun though.

Depending on how good you want to get at the game (the skill gap is very very large because of how movement works), I would actually recommend people a WiiU specifically for this game... which is surprising considering that I thought that it was just this thing that I would derp around with for like 5 hours and then move onto the next thing.

(people be like: there's only 5 maps breh, not realizing that Nintendo is trickling out maps, weapons and functionality in the coming 2 months)

I don't know if I can become a CPA while playing this game :v

Well, Nintendo, when they can pull off longevity, can do so in spades, as can be seen with Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and Pokémon. If you mean sustained sales, that seems to happen all the time.

But yeah, it's nice to see a new IP from Nintendo actually bear fruit, besides Mii-related ones.

I voted for an Inkling to be added to the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS roster. It looks like that might actually happen.

Nintendo can only do so much for a console that isn't doing well.
It's up to fans to spread the words for both the game and console to achieve good longetivity.
