Guys, Ultimate Otaku Teacher is getting good ratings.

This is hurting me.

This is physically hurting me.

In perspective, it actually isn't. Ultimate Teacher is getting the lowest ratings ever for its great timeslot (right before Detective Conan).

It's even affecting Conan, which's going through a ratings drop due to the poor lead in. It didn't manage to beat One Piece a single time ever since "Teacher" replaced Magic Kaito.

anyway, "Teacher" is so bad, we can safely say those viewers are bored people that tune in waiting for Conan to begin.

Yeah, I can agree that the people watching Teacher are just bored people waiting for Conan. Conan fans have to suffer through 13 more weeks of this.

I still cant believe that abomination got 24 episodes. At least with the other abominations there was at least 1 good thing that made it bearable to continue. Cant believe its in the top 10.

Is the show Denpa Kyōshi doing well enough to still be listed, or that, due to its timeslot, it will be listed no matter the rating? If the former, then that means that the show manages to attract some people (or that they are "no-watchers", people who just keep the TV on but physically elsewhere). If the latter, then that means that the show will be listed until its run has ended.

I have to say I'm pretty amazed that Ultimate Otaku Teacher is back in the Top 10. Perhaps the characters in that show seem likable enough for some. Anime smile

The latter. Put any anime on a saturday at 5.30 pm on the biggest private network in Japan (at least in 2014, it usually competes with Fuji TV for that spot) and it will get better ratings than most anime out there. Still doing poorly for its time-slot.

Yeah what some people don't realize is that it airs in the same block as the now iconic Detective Boy Conan which is the actual ratings draw so just about anything could air there and still get decent ratings as long as the TV is tuned in waiting for Conan to start. I didn't know it was actually sapping ratings away from Conan though, wow.

Given how underwhelming Ultimate Otaku Teacher's ratings have been, I wonder if there's a chance that NTV could bring Space Brothers back. Have they announced which show is taking over the pre-Conan time slot come October?

NTV is waiting for Space Brother content to pile up! I don't know how far the manga is from where the anime ended, but, last time I heard the manga was being released every 2 weeks instead of 1 every week schedule its magazine has.
