Okay... I know I've been very inactive with the forums to this website 'an all...

But this... this here news... simply ignites kiddy giddiness. I have 10x more hope for this than I ever did for that meh Korra game (not to mention I try my best not to support its meh source).

Lets hope this brawler will do what most Transformer games fail to do and represent each bot to their own heft. It doesn't have to be difficult.

Bubblebee? Is that what they called him back then?

If Transformers Genwunners are anything like Pokémon Genwunners, this game must be appeasing quite the obnoxious bunch.

My entire knowledge of the Tramsformers series comes from the movie series, so I normally wouldn't care about this, but Platinum's involvement makes me really interested. Definitely gonna be watching out for this one.

They'll have to recast certain characters if they include them in the game. Since the ones that provided the voice of Starscream, Jazz, Cliffjumper have passed away since the series aired.

Also makes me wonder if he's in it, if they'll alter Soundwave's voice like in G1 or leave it unaltered like the live actions movies & Prime.

Just hope it's not bad like that Beast Wars: Transmetals game on PS1/N64.

I'd rather have that than what he's called by the end of the G1 series, Goldbug(due to a rebuilt body).

Let's just hope they avoid any "Carbombia' references (the episode Casey Kasem found so appalling he walked off the series)

I don't understand why companies don't hold off on listing these things until necessary. So often a stock listing comes before the official announcement from the company. How far in advance are retailers holding this stock?

Looks like it could be interesting though. My expectations are low after Platinum's Korra game.

From having seen the original transformers, and hated the live action movies, this brings back memories as a kid.
And this looks cool, I'd be interested in testing it out and buying it if its any good.

Transformers fans created the term "Generation 1" so that should say quite a bit. The fandom is pretty well divided between those that worship the old stuff and those that want to move on to new things. Personally I'm right down the middle, I just want cool robots that turn into things.

No, Skywarp is a black jet with some purple highlights, this really is a purple jet based on Ramjet as the writer said, most likely an Air Warrior. But really, it and the blue Runabout/Runamuck are just generic fodder for the Autobots to fight.

Platinum has an A+ rank action game director in Hideki Kamiya and a B+/A- one in Shinji Mikami imo. Everyone else is average imo and the Platinum logo on their games just serves to over inflate expectations beyond what they could ever deliver (which is essentially a mediocre action game any studio could make).

It can be very easy to see this and think Bayonetta/Vanquish company and forget that this title could very well end up being more like the Mad World/Anarchy Reigns/Avatar company.

So are we just going to selectively forget Bayonetta 2 and Metal Gear Rising, games directed by neither of those people?

Avatar's combat was great, it was hamstringed by budget, a problem this game as a $60 retail product presumably won't have.

Yeah, even a lesser quality Platinum-title should still be well worth it. Avatar is their worst and even that game is still easily worth playing, especially if you get it at sale price.

The fact that this is a retail release and not a budget downloadable cash in like Korra gives me hope. That and the fact that I like Transformers way more than Korra.
