Aww, I knew this would end someday but I hope it will be something memorable. Been enjoying this manga (and the adaptation) from start to its current chapter so far.

I'm glad the author decides to end this when the time comes without letting it to drag just because it's popular. This way, the author can maintain the story before it goes down the hill. Silver Spoon is one of my most favorite slice of life stories.

The series really needed a climax because the content after the anime ended is veeeeery slice of life and conflict-less, still with a lot of development of characters but in more "super slow real life pacing", which while feeling like real life there's not many stakes to be really hooked or invested (still enjoyable). In fact, unless they put inside a new conflict between the relaxed stuff to hook the viewers I don't think they would do another Silver Spoon anime.

Agreed. This is Arakawa you are talking about, talent is more than evident and exudes confidence in creating more hits. This aint Kishimoto´s naruto nor Kubos´s bleach.

Kinda sad this is ending, but I hope that since it gets a relatively short run the chances of it getting an English release will go up.

Loved the anime and was wondering if I should buy the manga. I tend to avoid buying manga that drag because their popular so knowing it's going to end in a few volumes is a deal maker.

A "Climax" is this and once again proves that too many editors have no idea what they are doing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dramatic_structure#/media/File:Freytags_pyramid.svg
The series itself is "very good" of course, the ending point feels natural and i would recommend all fans to look up the older and now nearly twice as long Ja Ja Uma Grooming UP! (by the Birdy/ Manga Patlabor guy). The themes are the same but a moving narrative (and romance) give it the edge when compared and the ending was awesome.
FMA though had 10/10 ending so we will see and i look forward to her next work if she chooses to as Arslan Senki will probably run for quite some time.
I read every of one of her series or shorts that weren't a weird as hell 1 Vol. comedy and Hyakushou Kizoku should be of interest for Silver Spoon fans too as it is autobiography and explain well how the themes for agricultural series came about.

Arslan is an adaptation so I'm also looking forward for a new work.

From Alchemist to Farm....what's next? Ant warriors????? Hahahhaha
Whatever it is, I'll read it.

Between her raising a family, having family issues, and also writing Arslan Senki, maybe it is good she is ending it soon.

There's been a bunch of hints, I'm glad it's been (sort of) confirmed.
