Not too surprising imo. I'm hoping this gets another TV series someday..

saw all the movies and series of city hunter also the spin off (Angel Heart) just last week

i like the movies and angel heart series better.. since the series can be a drag.. seeing the guy running after women in every single episode will become boring over time..

still i would give this a watch

but i have to say..

watching city hunter and then move on to Golgo 13..

it's like moving from PG movie to an R rated movie! Laughing

Yossha! Kamiya-san as Ryo is the best thing this OAV needs...

So, it's just a motion comic, and not an actual full blown anime. That's kind of disappointing.

Looking at Yamato remake, yes, but I worry what would become of this classic if it falls in the hands on some production than wants to cater to the modern otaku mindset.

This is possible that they are doing this as part of the City Hunter manga 30th anniversary.

Akira Kamiya still does things, even though he retired already. I guess it's a one time thing.

While I'm disappointed that this is just a motion comic, Akira Kamiya voicing Ryo Saeba is always a huge treat.

Indeed ! because Kamiya is Saeba Ryo. I was hoping for a Movie or OVA but i guess motion comics is better than nothing. I hope that both City Hunter & Angel Heart get more adaptions to wrap up the story like Inuyasha Final Chapter.
