The game is a nice distraction but I've found that it lacks substance. Somewhat boring after awhile.

It's a F2P money pit, not surprised.

This very much so, later levels feel outright unfair in comparison to say Candy Crush which is closer to "the RNG screwed you over, try again" where the Shuffle Puzzle has sinisterly designed levels and a "level up" system that is annoying the further the stages go on.

If you played it right, there's no need to spend any money. I have S-ranked every stage without spending.

It's much better than Pokemon Rumble World, where getting jewels / in-game money are a serious grind fest, especially after Lv 40+
Which means even if you choose to spend, you will still be turned off by how much grinding is needed to buy the damn power-up trees.

=======

I wonder if this smartphone version will share the same user database as 3DS.

As long as this is the kind of stuff they release on mobiles, while leaving the real games for their console and handheld, I'll be fine with it.

Even though I'm currently on a fling with Marvel Puzzle Quest (it's better than it looks!), let's be honest:
The Puzzle & Dragons clones JUST AREN'T Puzzle & Dragons, no matter how hard they try!

I always keep having to adjust my strategy to other games that only let you move adjacent pieces, not swirl them all over the board to let you set up three or four match-ups in a big chain reaction...Haven't the imitators figured it out yet?
