San Diego wants it to stay there because that's 130,000 tourists plus the staff and guests that will contribute to it's local economy. While it may run as overflowing and selling out hotels, San Diego can keep their image of having Comic Con International in their backyard as well. I can only imagine how it would be a headache to try and move the convention to a different place after so many years. I think this is a good move overall.
