It's funny that Togashi's even on the list. You'd think he would be hated.

Was expecting Isayama to be higher, considering AoT is so popular right now.

Also expected Oda to be on top.

Despite all of his hiati, it's impossible not to like, considering how he writes his stories. Proven by the fact that HxH isn't cancelled yet.

It's a love-hate relationship. We still can't bring to fully hate him, it's so complicated~~

Yeeei Gorila-sensei, you even beat Oda! And knowing how crazy yet shy he is I would love to see his reaction.

Mr. Sorachi-san's comedy nature of Gintama is commended far and wide.

Well the man's a genius. I'm glad my favorites are all on here: Hirohiko, Matsui and Togashi

What interests me the most is the lower portions of the vote 25-30

Suzuki and Seven Deadly sins coming in there is interesting his art is amazing and more people should read that series.

Also Mashima coming in at 24 is something to. His art might not always be top notch (Still looks fantastic) but his speed at drawing is unparalleled. he pumps out quality pages in record time, about two mouths ago he did double Chapters of Fairy Tail every week for a month, all were full length and all looked good (Some of these had color pages as well)

The reason why it isnt cancelled is not because he's a good writer, but because it sells. Mahouka sells and we all know about that series, so its not about writing skill

If they were to add Tezuka or Ishinomori, I wonder how they would rank.

Honestly, I find anyone a moron, who says that his favourite manga artist is someone who have created only one series (or at best 1-2 very short ones). That doesn't not mean the author is bad or anything, just that it's not your favourite author, but your favourite series.

A favourite author should be someone who had made at least 2 bigger series and you end up liking all of his works.

Or you read several one shots of the mangaka and notice no matter what kind of story he is doing you like it.

Sooooo glad to see Sorachi on top. During all his childhood his parents ignored his wish to be a mangaka. I'm so glad he ignored them back and became such an incredible mangaka

But HxH sells a lot because of the story writing.

I disagree. I mean, a series like One Piece is as long as 5 shorter series. And favorite means the one you personally like the best. You'd have more of a point if it was "best", since then you could bring things like the variety and such of the writer's work into question. Although if that was the case Osamu Tezuka is easily the correct answer
