This sounds really interesting, actually. Although production would be rushed, I still hope it gets slated for Fall.
Also, six volumes and an adaptation already? It must be popular, though I haven't heard of it till now.

Quite a few LN series have had adaptations when they reached the 6-ish novel.

plot synopsis wrote:
In the story, Subaru Natsuki is an ordinary high school student who is lost in an alternate world, where he is rescued by a beautiful, silver-haired girl.

*sigh* Rolling Eyes
plot synopsis wrote:
He stays near her to return the favor, but the destiny she is burdened with is more than Subaru can imagine. Enemies attack one by one, and both of them are killed. He then finds out he has the power to rewind death, back to the time he first came to this world. But only he remembers what has happened since.

Yep. A strong All You Need is Kill vibe.

Wouldn't be surprised if they confirm the anime adaptation this Sunday. I expect 1 cour from a studio by possibly...Silver Link.

I think that particular description is just to differentiate from "super genius high schooler" or "high school student with supernatural powers."

Ah, an anime adaptation!
I've tried following the light novel, but every translator seems to drop it early on, so at least I'll get a re-telling of the story like this anyways.

We don't know when it will air though. It could be a year or later after the announcement. Some series from them are known to be delayed for quite a bit like Anti Magic Academy and Syomin Sample.

Don't mind it's similarity with the other thing almost everyone has mentioned. Laughing

I'm always up for series based on traveling to an alternate world. I'm just surprised this LN adaption, judging from the synopsis given, has not harem. Though...I feel like someone may come along and point out there is a harem element to it...

Aaaaand that's where I stopped reading. I don't need to read anything more to know this will be shit. Screw LNs and all they stand for. I'm tired of this repetitive generic garbage getting adaptations while so many good manga are left in the dust.

That's actually a good point now that you mention it. Up to where the manga is, there doesn't seem to be any obvious harem aspects. The male and female cast is pretty balanced, and it doesn't seem (to me) that the MC will be some kind of chick magnet. But the manga has barley scratched the start of the second volume, as far as I can tell, and a lot of LNs do this—start off as though there's only one love interest, and then lump in a ton others in subsequent volumes.

So continue to be cautious anyways.

I will be cautious!

But, I do like the sound of there being a balanced cast. That's another thing that doesn't happen too often.
