Kancolle has surpassed Touhou, so that is quite possible. There were hard numbers on it. All is well in otaku land.

nope. if gambler club is there, better believe that some will be pocket monsters XY related. and of course we can't forget about behind moon as well as hindenburg and ran hiryu. however they will pale in comparison to the circles that will have content mostly related to Love Live ,Shirobako , Touhou Project and Idol Master Cinderella Story. so the chances that most of the circles having content of kancolle is highly unlikely. |

I dont think so, the doujin mangaka I know previously works on Touhou now change side with Kancolle, plus the fanbase keep increasing year by year and got reports that Kancolle beat Touhou last years so it is not surprising if Kancolle conquered 20%-30% of the booth

I have the numbers here, to show that KanColle did surpass Touhou in terms of circle numbers at Comiket 86 (August 2014), and has been the leader since then. I posted about this on MAL last year, comparing the numbers from Comiket 85 to 87.

well that much i know. cause i have a lot of kancolle from C86 and they were the main thing during C85,C86 and C87 replacing SAO as the main MO when that series took over C84,C83 & C82 and toaru kagaku no railgun was the main during C81 & C80. however there have been a main popularity between the circles for Love Live, Shirbako ,precure (though more often with the gambler club circle) and especially idol master and its newest incarnation Cinderella Story as of late. and while not as big touhou project popularity have increased. Also there have been an increase of fleet ship too. so the chances that KanColle will be the main thing again between the circles is 50/50. at least until the final numbers are out. |

Final numbers have been out for awhile. Kancolle has like 1000 more circles registered than Touhou, which is a distant 2nd. Shirobako will likely not even reach 2% of Kancolle's circle total.
