On the one hand, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. On the other hand, Nexon. I'm not very sure about this.

The website to sign-up for the beta was down when I checked. I'd like to try it out because I'm quite curious, but also kind of skeptical.

I figured that "English gameplay trailer" meant an English subtitled trailer. Consider m pleasantly surprised to hear McGlynn's voice.

I've played two GitS games. All I remember about the PS2 game was how impossible the hacking minigame was on higher levels, and all I remember about the PSP game is that I quickly abandoned it because it was so dificult to play with only one analogue stick.

Looks pretty cool, and the action looks fast paced. The Imagine Dragons song surprised me though.

I'd definitely try it. Would have preferred it not be dubbed, but maybe the final version will have options.

That awful overused song almost made me ignore the generic CoD style gameplay of the trailer. Seriously? They didn't have a WALL of songs they could have picked for the trailer, let alone something original?

And what a waste to bring back Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for this abomination rather than Arise or the recent movie. Ghost in the Shell doesn't deserve this treatment.

There's no Japan option for the closed beta, so probably not.

Me too, but even the entiere English voce cast won't save this game if the gameplay sucks.

Ya guys gonna get pwned under Imagine's Radioactive!
English song, English voices, nobody's gonna play this in Japan anyways (might as well be cannon fodder)

The full voice cast is back. Sandy Fox posted a Tweet a few hours ago that she's returning as a Tachikoma.

They got the original Japanese cast for the initial gameplay trailers when the game was being developed for Korea.

As for me, I wonder who they picked to voice Mei-bun, the new female added to the cast. She's not shown in any of the gameplay trailers.

Um guys, you seem to be misunderstanding something.

This is an ONLINE shooter. Who cares if they bring back the cast? There is no story to speak of, so why do they need the voice cast? They might get them for a few ingame soundbytes I guess, but hardly worthwhile.

That said, just no. They are clearly going for Modern Warfare style multiplayer and just using the GitS name. Although slightly more tactical and team-based. There was absolutely nothing that looked GitS here apart from a couple of character models. Particularly they didn't even try to use something cyberpunk in tone with the music, which is absurd. Let alone trying to make some actual GitS music.

I wish companies would stop with the glut of generic multiplayer only titles.

Eh, there's been much generic-ness lately. If it's not MMO, it's FPS. If it's not FPS, it's RPG. If it's not RPG, it's moe VNs. Nobody wants to step out of their comfort zone, so more of the same. Thank goodness for stuff like Kickstarter and Steam lately; give out of the box folks that'd slip thru the cracks a chance.
