This must be something of a new record to have both the visual novel and its anime debut the same month/time.

Yeah, I wonder how one can successfully pitch to a Production Committee to sponsor an anime to a product (in this case a VN) that isn't even out yet. While in cases like, say, Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen, there's a previous installment to provide some sorts of data.

This actually makes sense, if anime is supposed to be there to promote a product it makes sense for it to appear during or before the products release.

^Yep, makes sense to me too. I mean, movies have previews released months before they're out. So, if you do view the anime as an advert, makes sense.

Will check out Wagamama. Don't think I've seen an anime that has a high schooler drawing an ecchi manga. I know that there is at least one out there, name escapes me, but I've not seen it.

Isn't that what kind of happened with Angel Beats!?

Ali07. the LN-based anime R-15, a summer '11 title, might be what your talking about.

@Kadmos1 - I've never heard of that show before.

I still can't remember the name of the one I'm thinking of, and it was a show I decided not to check out. What I do remember, is that the guy is in a school for art...I think? And all he wants to do is work on a ero-manga. I think that there might also be a manga competition involved...

For some reason, I feel like 18 may be part of the anime's title?
