This is probably the one record that won't be broken in a long time for a movie based on a late-night show!

It's going to be hard trying to outperform those massive earnings the film of Love Live has engrossed these past three months.

Because that was always the plan before the movie was released. It's basically part of the farewell tour.

Here is a summary of the box office gross at all the countries the Love Live Movie has been shown at. Worldwide gross is above 2.7 billion yen now, which is pretty good for a late-night/midnight anime movie.

Definitely, but records are meant to be broken. Amongst the late-night/midnight anime movies coming up, I think the Kizumonogatari movies and the KanColle movie (if they don't screw things up like they did for the first anime season) has the best chance to do so.

The upcoming High Speed Free! Movie in December also has a chance to do well too, since it's being shown on 120 screens (1 less than LL, 9 less than Madoka 3, and 17 less than K-ON!). 1~1.5 billion yen gross is my guess.
