TV series adaptation for the "super important announcement" ? This spinoff manga idea sounds kinda fun so I hope it will have some comedy gold moments.

Assuming the announcement is an anime, I hope it's a 1 or 2 cour, well paced show and not a super long, super dragged out one like World Trigger's anime.

if the announcement is an anime(most likely)

I want it would be animated by Lerche(Assassination Classroom, Monster Musume) or Production I.G (GITS, Haikyuu, KnB)

Way too soon for an anime series, only 5 volumes out right now. Maybe an OVA pilot thing before doing an anime a year later when there's enough for a tv series.

It has enough chapters for 12-13 episode anime.

They are really acting like this announcement will be catching people off guard - since an anime is what we are wishing for, maybe that is not it?

Oh well, the spin-off sounds interesting and I can't wait for the announcement Very Happy

Why would you want that though? Naruto and Bleach have an absurd amount of filler, and One Piece has serious serious pacing issues. An ongoing anime of this would lead to disaster. Just look at World Trigger right now. Do you really want that to happen to My Hero Academia? I certainly don't.

Filler could work for My Hero Academia. I read the manga and the filler can really flesh out certain characters, give more screen time, and dive deeper into the heroes and villains.

I don't know MHA is shaping up to be a contender for the New Big Three. It even managed to outrank "One Piece" one week. When you beat WSJ's flagship series, you know you the studios want to milk that.

Obviously, it's anime. But then, they could also announce it gets game-adaption or live-actions. Anything goes.

@Nakurawari:

What about Hunter x Hunter 2011? A long-running anime which has no fillers, well-paced, great animation. Not something you will find in other Shonen Jump animes. An exception anime,you know?

If its an anime announcement, then god dammit. Atleast wait for a while before animating it so it can actually get the popularity a series like Boku no Hero deserves.

That would be great. However HxH 2011 was different because it was a reboot and there was over 300 chapters of content at their disposal. And once they caught up, they stopped.

If the anime for MHA is indeed coming next year, then I only really want a two cour series at max.
