Get well soon and continue to work at your own pace like you said you are doing.

I hope she wasn't straining herself too much, doing recording while suffering from the illness.

Here's hoping it won't be too long before Ms. Hirano-san is back in the voice-acting scene after her recovery.

Hirano Aya FTW! I've always loved her and her work even with all the stupid media BS going around about her. Get well soon Aya-san! We're all rootin' for ya!

I love her voice, and I'm sure she will be fine after the operation.
I hope some day the hypocrisy and double-standard will stop in idoru industry. |

Wish you a full recovery,Aya Hirano!
Btw, I'm confused here. How can Hirano-san undergo surgery while she still actively recording character-voice i.e Lucy from Fairy Tail? Is her schedule open enough or completely else? |

Wishing her a speedy recovery.
I haven't heard any news related to her in a long time. Isn't she not as active with big roles in the anime industry like she was a few years ago? |

At least in some anime, two episodes are recorded a week. That's for a one court at least. |

she's not as active. Aside from returning to voice Lucy and some other roles she basically doesn't do anything. I believe it's mostly because people take actor/idol lives way to seriously and fan are punishing her for personal choices she made. SO then studios don't want to hire someone they know fans dislike. There's an interesting read about things like it here. animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2015-07-24/.90830 |

She has been doing some stage work as well. She's been in the Japanese showing of Les Miserables recently, I believe as Eponine. And she's been continuing her solo singing career, although at a slower pace. So she hasn't been completely exiled from the entertainment industry as some people seem to think. She's been both slowing down and broadening her roles, though, which does give her a bit less time for voice acting.
At this point, all the shock and scandal are far enough in the past that if she wanted more roles she could probably get them without too much difficulty. She may not be able to pull quite as a big a fanbase as before, but she definitely has plenty of supporters still out there. |

Glad to hear she's doing okay. This article reminds me I still have my tonsils, and I'm in my 30s.
