^considering the series will be back next issue, I doubt it's anything life-threatening. Ashihara's taken single week breaks before due to health issues (and one time early in World Trigger's serialization due to a broken hand
 ) so this isn't all that unusual. Considering the workload of most weekly publications, I'm surprised more authors don't have this happen more often.

Ashihara has a chronic spine condition which interferes with his ability to work. It's nothing life-threatening, just painful and inconvenient. As a result, World Trigger takes pretty regular breaks in serialization to account for it.

@lossthief: The person that comes to mind with this is Hiro Mashima. That guy is a beast with doing multiple weekly chapters. However, in the 7th FT volume, he said that (at least at that point), he still manages to get up 8 hours of sleep.
