Was the final announcement (Labyrinth) a bit of a disappointment for anyone? Maybe it shows my ignorance that I'd never heard of that series before, so after several classic series and all that build up I was like "Huh?" Laughing

Still, I've added a few of these series to my queue and I'm looking forward to finally watching them!

Ask why Nozomi Entertainment picked it out of the "random shows from the mid/late-00s that nobody cared about" vault and released it on R1 DVD in the first place then, since all of these announcements are CR getting shows from Nozomi's catalogue.

Basically, Nozomi and Discotek (who gave CR Dragon Half last week) are in the business of digging up the "forgotten" license rescues from before the 00's Bubble popped, and more power to them.
Problem is, if you're not Funi or Viz, don't have a lock on the current new-sensation hits, and don't have your own private streaming channel, you have to pick up the pieces of the old expired companies, and can appreciate the "forgotten" 90's-00's titles that the previous generation talked about, but need all the other third-party streaming license money from Hulu and Viewster that you can get.

I may not agree with Labyrinth or Cat's Eye (and I've only seen one or two episodes of Mito, meh), but I'll die to defend Nozomi's right to rescue them. Cool

Yeah, I totally agree that it's great that they are adding as many titles as they can. And I'm sure there's someone out there enjoying Labyrinth as we speak... I would have just maybe ended with Princess Knight or something.
