It took a few episodes since XYZ started, but it finally made it in the top 10...at 10.

With Pokémon XY barely making it in the Top 10, I think it's safe to say that the show had quite a rough journey throughout much of the year.

The rating for XYZ don't seem much different than before, but remember that was before Case Files and Dragonball Super started airing. I imagine XYZ is routinely hanging around slot #11 or 12 since it now has 2 more popular series to push it out of the top 10.

Yeah. There's this ridiculous notion in the Pokemon fandom that the show's exact position on the top 10 list is amazingly important and that everything that doesn't "make it" for a few weeks is getting so few viewers the show is as good as canceled (and likewise, the fact that the current ratings are lower than they were 15 years ago is entirely because people don't like the show as much anymore).

We ended up putting a blanket ban on the subject over at the serebii.net forums due to all discussions being centered around misconceptions of that type. Seems to have helped a bit.

(also, ANN, the show is called XY&Z now, not "XY")
